It's just a story [2] [Sounds and Blinking Lights]

My cell phone vibrated for 2 - 3 seconds before it started to play Lightning Crashes from Live. The sound that came from its crappy speaker made me want to puke. It's not because I don't like the song, but because the quality of the speaker changed the song in some kind of torture device.
I must admit though, Lightning Crashes is not actually a great wake-up song. I actually prefer songs like La Mer from Charles Trenet or Amazing Grace from Victor Wooten or even Bubbly from Colbie Caillat as a wake-up song. Songs that can make you smile the whole day, no matter whether it is raining, cloudy, windy, sunny or even stormy outside. You just have the feeling that you own this day. It is your day. Yours alone.
But unfortunately Lightning Crashes didn't stop at voice command. It didn't even stop if you use brute force. One must stop it manually with one's hand in order to stop the torture. I pressed the Snooze button. I don't even know what the word means.
For me, Snooze has as the same meaning as an addictive drug or something like that. If you press the button, you will get 5 minutes of pleasure but than the torturing will begin again, and again, and again until you wake up and say out loud "I've enough of this Snooze!" and begin to start living. And someone else might say "Well, yeah let's enjoy this Snooze shit and I'll see what will happen next".

Heh...I don't even bother to get up anymore..I just let the bloody phone ring (cause I don't have a "special" tune), which lasts for a minute and then I fall asleep to the sound of myself cursing the phone. 9 minutes later the same sounds wakes me up..I go through the same process until an hour has passed and the phone no longer rings. Phew!
I usually leave the phone on the other side of my room from my bed, so I "have" to get up.
And, if by some miracle I do get up or the phone is by my bed I NEVER press the "snooze" button unless by mistake which again would make me curse. The snooze button means the phone will ring again! That's a bad thing!
Also, La mer is great...but, if it was my wake-up song I'd end up hating it =P

La Mer is great. :) but indeed, I must say I agree with you Christin. I'd end up hating it if it was my wake-up song :P. But maybe it's a great breakfast song. Or just simply a-great-song-you-can-play-it-whenever-you-like song.
